  1. Had to say that your “toggle a div with jQuery” was the answer to my prayers. It was exactly what I needed in order to do some complex showing and hiding on a new site I’m coding. Thank you! You saved me I-don’t-know-how-many hours of pulling my hair out. Just awesome.

  2. hey allen,

    i tried “How to hide, show, or toggle your div with jQuery” in single page but it didn’t work.
    please mail the code in single page(combine html, JavaScript and CSS).

  3. Hi Allen, im using one of your applications to show/hide text, it looks grate, but i have problems with Firefox, it doesnt show/work as plan, any ideas?

    1. Hi Ivan,

      If you can send me the actual page where this issue is or if you can post the code at jsfiddle.net, I can take a look at it.

  4. Hi Allen, I have the same theme as you (twenty eleven) in my website but when i try to create field sets they don’t appear, only in the preview, do you know how can i fix that. Thanks . Miguel

    1. Hi Miguel,

      I love the twenty eleven theme! =) My field sets were most likely styled with custom CSS. Here is the CSS styling if you are interested in incorporating it into your theme as well:

      fieldset {
          border: 1px solid #CCCCCC;
          margin: 10px 0;
          padding: 10px;

      I hope this helps.

  5. Hi Allen, I understand about your time. I wonder where can I download this widget. Also do you have the script that I can you use on a html or php webpage?

    1. Hi Shan,

      Currently, there is no category selector. I didn’t realize this data was available in the Groupon API but I just checked it out and sure enough, it’s there =) There is a category called “Beauty & Spas” which is probably what you are looking for. Unfortunately though, my time is currently very limited so I am not sure when I will be able to modify the code to accommodate this change. I will see if I have any extra time this weekend and I will get back to you on this.

  8. Hi Allen,

    I found your article about adding/removing form elements very helpful. I am trying to do something similar, but with more attributes. It is a shopping list clone of:

    This form also to connect to a mysql database. Do you do freelance work? If so, is this something you would be interested in?

    Thanks in advance

    1. Hi Zac,

      Yes, I do freelance work and I think I can easily help with your project regarding dynamic form elements.

      Let’s take this offline and discuss this in more detail.
